What we collect and why

Voucher purchases

When you buy a gift voucher we collect your name and email address (to send your receipt), and the recipient's name and email address (to deliver the voucher). Payment is handled entirely by PayPal, we never see or store your card details.

Bookings

Table bookings are handled by ResDiary. Any personal data you provide during the booking process is subject to ResDiary's privacy policy.

Contact enquiries

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we keep your message and email address to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, pages visited, time on site, approximate location (city level). This uses cookies, which are set when you arrive. The notice on your first visit tells you we use cookies, it does not switch analytics on or off. If you would rather not be counted, use your browser's cookie controls or Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we use your data

We use the information we collect only to process your order or respond to your enquiry. We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.

Who we share data with

All providers are GDPR-compliant and process data under appropriate data processing agreements.

How long we keep it

Voucher transaction records are kept for 7 years for accounting purposes. Contact enquiries are deleted after 12 months. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google's default.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email shop@fivemarch.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use one functional cookie (session management for the voucher checkout) and Google Analytics cookies, which are set when you arrive. No advertising cookies are used and we do not share your data with advertisers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
